(More customer reviews)So I did my research and found this to be the best cover for my new PRE that wouldn't add a lot of extra bulk or orange peel as other similar shields can. My Best Buy will install it for $12, but I insisted on trying it myself. I put the back on first, relatively seamless! Not having used this product before I didn't know what I was missing and made the best of what they provided. Admittedly, the front was a bit trickier, but following the directions, I was eventually successful. The real key is to keep everything wet. Unless you want fingerprints you MUST keep your fingers wet. I have since installed two more InvisibleSHIELDs on other PRE's and each one was easier. A hairdryer is a MUST if you want the corners to stay down. On the last installation I did, I used the sponge to wet the surface of the PRE, I then sponged the InvisibleShield. Wetting both the phone and the shield made for a very slippery surface, but worked perfectly. The shield wasn't trying to stick where I didn't want it to. When I had it where I wanted it, I braced the shield, and sponged out all excess liquid. The corners are a bit difficult until you realize you will need a hairdryer to enhance the stickiness to get the shield to stick, then you need to hold the shield down in the curve of your palm to encourage it to stay. I've done all these installations in not meticulously clean houses that all have at least two cats living there. I had a cat hair appear a couple of times, but I just lifted the shield, removed the hair or fuzz and used the sponge to wipe away any hint of a mistake. The shield does not look great when first installed, which the directions admit to. By day three my PRE looked like it did out of the box. Just last week I dropped my Pre in the parking lot. My Pre is still in perfect condition. The shield has a knick. I don't care. It protected my PRE from being scratched and from skidding very far across the parking lot. Most people look at my PRE and don't even know it has a cover-despite the knick. Great product if you have the patience to get it right!
