(More customer reviews)Ok, so I'm not for certain that Amazon sent me the right case. My box says "Amzer Snap On Crystal Hard Case." However, it "does" have a rubberized texture, "but" mine has that indented cut out at the bottom, unlike the picture shown, but maybe the picture and title were mistaken and I am in fact reviewing the right case. If not, I would think the other would be almost identical other than the cut out at the bottom.
Ease of Use:
It went on really well, though I did have to take off the bottom and re-attach it. I recommend snapping the top of the back section first before doing the keyboard section in order to get it to snap into place. This was easy to do, as the case is very easy to take off (unlike some I've dealt with!).
Color:
The deep red is a beautiful color, and it's not flat - it almost looks like velvet.
Feel:
I also love the rubberized texture, as the phone feels "much" more secure in my hands. I used to be afraid I was going to drop it!
Functionality:
Also, it does "not" get in the way of the top row of the keyboard as many cases do, and it's also flat on the keyboard sides as well so as to still allow for easy typing. On the edges, it just barely comes to the side of the screen, so no part of the screen is covered up. I love it!
Other Comments:
I also recommend airing this case out before use, as it has a "very" strong odor.
I would also like to add that this case works very well with the Skinomi screen protector, as it goes over all edges except for the very top. The Skinomi goes around the earpiece, which I recommend for a more flush look. It's a glossy (non anti-glare) screen and looks beautiful with the case! The Clarivue and Boxwave look to be good as well - the boxwave also having one the goes around the earpiece.
Update (1/28/11):
So I've had this for a while, and I noticed that the color of this case was starting to rub off on my vintage, beloved, taupe leather wallet and has stained it. It's just a light dusting of the color, but it looks like I'll need to switch to a "polished" hard plastic Amzer case to avoid the problem getting worse. It stinks too, because I had such a hard time finding a decent case and loved this one so much that I bought an extra just in case! Really loved it other than this and have had zero problems! :( I have taken the rating of 5 stars down to 4 because of this.
