(More customer reviews)First, regarding the other 2 reviews: Yes it IS for the Pre and the writer who says it isn't was probably looking at the picture they had up originally and had never actually seen the product. I see a newer picture now, which is more accurate (though still misleading). And the LEDs ARE very bright. Mine is in the master bath and there's a glow emanating into the bedroom from the bathroom door. If you don't like the nightlight, I guess you could put black tape over the lights.
Now for the review: I've had this for a couple of months and it seems to do a great job of charging the battery. But, if you want to charge a battery in the battery bay and a battery in your Pre, you have to use TWO outlets and a USB/AC adapter that is not included. That's right, this "dual" charger is 2 entirely separate charging devices sharing a piece of plastic. The AC adaptor for the unit powers ONLY the battery bay, not the mini-USB plug for the phone itself. To charge the battery while it's installed in your phone, you have to plug the USB cable coming from the cradle into an adapter or the USB port on your computer. Yup, 2 separate inputs, 2 separate outputs.
Oh, and calling it a "cradle" is a stretch, too. Yes, you can stand your phone up in it, but that's about it. To charge the phone, you still have to plug the mini-USB cable from the cradle into the port on the side of the phone. The Pre has no charging ports on the bottom for a cradle to use (though you can spend more money for a special back cover and a Touchstone charger). I knew that, already, but did not expect to have to plug the device into 2 separate outlets and provide an adapter.
So, the "dual" aspect of this product is worthless.
My recommendation, if you need to charge the phone and a spare battery at the same time: Buy a battery charger and bypass this "dual" charging cradle completely. (Still, for $10, it handles the battery charging just fine.)
